Walk This Way - In Humilty

Randy Hagar
This week's sermon was on wisdom and truth. Matt nailed it this week, explaining the difference between the world's wisdom and ever-changing truth. Wisdom and truth go hand-in-hand. Science is the go-to word these days. How about the science of the past? Do some research on accepted scientific practices, especially in the medical field from the past.
Is truth relative? No, it is not. So how do we know what the truth is? We seek the author of truth, and we go to the Bible.
So I ask, does the world's truth line up with God's word? I think not. So how can I know what the truth is unless I know what God's Word says? 2nd Timothy 2:15. "Study to show thyself approved unto God a workmen that need to not be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth." I have only one daughter, and I wanted to be a dad that she could come to with questions I could answer. It is our responsibility.
Now on to wisdom. We are dead in Christ. So if we are in Christ and have the mind of Christ, we already have His wisdom. The world's wisdom is foolishness compared to Christ. So we renew your mind daily, as Matt says all the time. With our minds focused on Christ, we can make good, healthy, and wise decisions. All of my beliefs and decisions are based not upon the world's views but on what Christ's word has to say. Understanding we are in Christ makes all the difference in how I live my life. I am a child of God. I have access to all that pertains to, including truth and wisdom.

Love my church!
